Tutorials & Blog Post

From watching some of the tutorials, one thing that I have learned is how to organize videos. Once you have them all downloaded all you have to do in order to organize them is just click on which ever one you want to move and drag it to a specific spot! It will then appear in that certain spot when you play it.
I also learned that you can do a voice over throughout your movie. In order to do this all you have to do is click on the microphone button then adjust the input volume to only pick up your voice. When you are ready to report you can click on a specific clip then start recording. You can add as many voice overs as you would like! That's some things that I have learned so far in our iMovie unit.

Gallery

Today in multimedia class we got to go around and look at a few of our classmates photo galleries. Overall, they were so good! I loved everyone songs that they mixed together and all of their different effects. In Rachel's I liked her crop and especially the spot color photo! I also really enjoyed her songs as well. In Troy's my favorite photo by far was his vignette photo! It just made it look so much cooler and I really liked it. I also loved Troy's songs that he choose to include.Thought it was a great choice. In Noah's I liked his remove a person photo. It was so good I had to go back and to see who he removed! I also enjoyed Noah's songs as well. In Max's I loved the idea of a soccer theme and his songs fit well with it. I also really liked his glowing edges photo. It looked extremely cool! Zach's was also very good. I really liked his because he used so many different songs but it all still flowed. I also liked his dry brush effect photo.
Overall in this class I think I am progressing as a student. These two units taught me to really be creative. I've learned so many new things that I can use later on in my high school years. One thing that I really enjoy about this class is the fact that we can go at our own pace and not be rushed in any way. Multimedia class is really fun and I can't wait to learn more new things!

News Podcast Blog Post

Today in class I had to finish up my news podcast. In order to do this I needed to finish finding my photos and making sure that I have the sources for them as well. Another task that I had to get done was creating my title page. I wanted to make sure that it was colorful and appealing but also legible. Once I got that completed I had one of my classmates listen and give me some feedback through an email.
In the email, I was told that I had done a good job with the selection of my article because it was a very interesting topic that a lot of people would enjoying knowing about. I was also told that I had some noises in the background but I think that enhances the idea of being in a news room, but I did try to lower the sound of that a little. I believe that my boss should use this on the air because the voice is good and article is enjoyable as well, and I believe that this was what she was looking for! I would not mind helping out with this in the future. It was a very fun process to go through. Overall, I have worked very hard on this project and I am proud of the final result!

Sound Introduction and Hearing Loss Video Blog Post

From watching the video and reading over the sound introduction notes today in class, I have learned that sound travels in waves. You can measure sound by frequency and amplitude. One other thing that I learned was all of the different file formats for sound. For example there is WAV, MP3, AU and much more.
Also, in class today, we watched a hearing loss video. The video was about this 39 year old man who was losing his hearing almost completely. So he went to a ear doctor and got a device implanted in his ear that was invisible from the outside. He now realizes everything that he was missing before. From watching this video it made me think about how many times I fall asleep with my headphones on, or how many times I blare the music in the car. This made me realize that doing things like that, is really damaging my ears, and before I know it, I won't be able to hear the person sitting across from me. So I am definitely going to take the facts that I have learned into consideration.

Photoshop Blog Post

During the Photoshop unit in Multimedia class, I have learned so many new tools that I can use while in Photoshop. One of those tools include the cloning stamp tool. How to use the cloning stamp tool is a simple task, but can be difficult at the same time. You click on the stamp icon on the left side on the tool bar.  From there you will click the alt button on your keyboard and click on your mouse at the same time. By doing that task, the computer is "cloning" the color or part of the picture that you clicked on. After you have that done, all you have to do is click where ever you want to apply it at. The picture below is my example that I completed using the cloning stamp.

I also learned how to use filters and apply them to a certain picture. If wanting to use this tool, you would go up to filters on the tool bar at the top of your page, and search for the one that you would like to use. There are several different options that you can choose from, and you can also adjust a filter to make it more disorted,  sketched, tiled ect. The picture below is an example that I completed using filters.

iphoto 09 Blog

Hi there! Welcome to MorgsMacN'Cheese blog. This blog page is for Multimedia Applications class. Right now in the class we are learning about iphoto and how to properly use it. To be more specific, we are learning about organizing and editing photos in iphoto 09. In class we have just finished watching tutorials on how to accomplish certain tasks in iphoto. From watching those videos I have learned....
  •   You can import photos off your digital camera onto your computer without having to import ALL of them. All you have to do is just click on the ones you would like to import then click the selected photos button.
  •  How to change the order of the pictures in each album, and surprisingly, it is rather easy! All you have to do is click on the picture and then drag it to whatever spot you would like. A black bar will appear and that bar indicates where the picture will be moved to.
That's part of what I have learned so far in the iphoto unit of Multimedia Applications.
